capital W: a continuation on Eve's side of the creation story

A capital “W” Woman walks into a forest

with an axe.

The trees are copper wires.

As she steps in, the bark’s cords

suddenly

yank the ground towards the sky.

The forest cries

as its black rivers water-

-fall

onto the meadow bed

: A capital “G” Garden.

This Woman,

looks up to the sky

through the webbing nets

of black vines.

She hurls the axe into the base of her favorite tree:

knowledge good and evil and everything in between.

It falls with thirteen swings.

This capital "W" Woman,

looks up to her capital "G" God

and says,

“Does this make us even?”
