The Capitals and Lowercases

The smell of a new book fills the air

The laughter of a child

The parentheses (using them wisely) and laughing

The cough of a barista into his shoulder

The breath of fresh air

The smell of a rose freshly-picked

The Capitals and the Lowercases

The ups and downs of grammar

The English language hot off the press

The punctuation - missing (in action) - it never fails

Parenthetical situations

 (prisoner to my own thoughts)

Smile and frown

using the same amount of energy

But a different amount of bones

Jaw-line raw and eyes bloodshot

Grab a new book

The smell surrounds you

The laughter you recognize as your own

(prisoner) - escaped
