Capture
He let go
Studying crumbled pictures pushed by wind,
Delicate folds faltering—clinging
To splintered floor.
They escaped
With mocking ferocity
And his gaze, tormenting wide eyes;
The clamoring of each memory
Colliding along the sacred passage,
Trusting
To be captured
By her own memory,
To steady the thumping
His stone frightened-heart.
