Capturing

I wish I could capture a picture

with my words,

transfer the warm, beating

sun to your skin,

send the calming song of the birds

to your ears,

sail the fresh summer breeze

against your cheeks

and through each strand of your hair,

portray the excruciating green of the grass,

or the precise blue paint that colors the sky.

I wish I could share my life with you,

my thoughts

my emotions

because even on beautiful June days

I can not find peace within my soul.

maybe if you could feel what I feel

hear what I hear

see what I see

maybe you could make some sense of it all.
