Car Keys to the Soul

Simple really, the question to borrow the car keys from the mother or father

Same as taking a soul out for a spin

Whoopee!

Squalling and crying laying wrapped as a newborn, letting the new body start its engine

Feet hitting the floor and now the body is really moving!

Adding fuel and coolant

Modifying the engine

Choosing to go fast or slow

Paint starts fading

Glass getting dirty and cracked

Bugs of situations sticking on the teeth

until

that final moment...

Engine seizes

Out of oil

Fender smashed

Body hauled off to the recyling  yard

and then...

the soul eternal arriving back at the factory to see if it was still under warranty and a rebuild

or

thrown away into the junk rack.
