Cardboard

A box with something inside

Everything in there was mine

Playing with the things for a little bit

But then realizing I had another gift

An empty box of cardboard

Transformed into ducks or swords

An impossible number of creations

Limited only by my imagination

I had all the tools I needed

To cut and then combine pieces

Into anything that came to mind

Into anything I wanted to design

The boundaries are limitless

And the ideas are infinite

(Those last two were kind of wordy,

So, I’m sorry if you’re in a hurry)

Worlds of possibilities

All right there in front of me.
