The Caregiver

You who have shed so many tears

Even till this day

Locked away within

Never letting anyone in

To smile even though in tears

The pain of others that melt away

For its the warmth

The warmth that you radiate

But to never show the weaknesses

The ones that you hold

For their the cracks within your foundation

Which hinder the way you flow

Only to hold and finally to let go

For the bird will leave its nest

And the caregiver will be left alone
