Careless thought flows freely in the spring
Careless thought flows freely in the spring,
Dictated by frolic and a candy-ridden grin.
Boundless joy and glee awaits
Those who procrastinate their fates.
School days pass and friends arise,
Mem’ries made and worry dies.
Four-point-O, straight A’s I boast,
College-bound, across the coast.
School days end and friends do leave,
Joy dies out, and family cleaves.
Mind and heart become so ill
At the sight of college’s bill.
Careless thought flows freely in the spring,
Dictated by frolic and a candy-ridden grin.
Anxious dread and fear await
He who procrastinates his fate.
