Carnal

Rom 7:14  For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal,

sold under sin.

What does it mean to be carnal ... not fully yielded to God?

The natural and its tendencies are linked to self-fulfillment.

Desires and ambitions are linked to what should not.

Hanging on to your own ideas and call that enlightenment.

The center of carnality and its corrupt foundation

is self in the center of everything thought and done.

Self delight and glory ... and self-exaltation,

Self-love and pity ... self-importance and by-self ruined.

Can our aspirations escape the bounds of self?

If they are not self-pleasing ... are they self-glorifying?

Pride springs from desire ... to obtain a place for self

founded on emotion that hardly wants self-dying.
