Carnation

Dancing across the floor

Moving gracefully in time

Waited so long just to be here

And the steps are natural

With such finesse painted by love

Never shall it swoon

All those watching start to swoon

As bodies glide along the floor

An image of eternal love

Captured in a fading time

Powerful yet so natural

It takes so much to get here

Some spend their lives to get here

And fight the battle not to swoon

Trying to look natural

As you fly along the floor

Bringing you back to that time

When all there could be was love

You won’t relinquish your love

You deserve to be here

You spent all that time

Caused all the people to swoon

Just to get to this floor

And be pinned somewhere so natural

And keep yourself poised as natural

To feel the rush of love

And trot along the floor

Dancing lively just to be here

Knowing you can’t swoon

Though you want to all the time

To fall into the arms of time

Well spent and natural

So much feeling you can’t swoon

And fall into your love

Who is so happy to be here

With you atop the floor

His flower falls to the floor, the dance over just in time

So strange that you can be here, in his arms so natural

Barely held by the one you love, you can’t help but to swoon
