The Carousel
Well maybe I am crazy to
have trusted a guy like you.
A never ending carousel,
being with you could be heaven or hell.
And the carousel keeps spinning,
the farewells that we've been bidding.
I must be losing my mind.
As it spins, and spins, and spins all day.
And I tried so hard to get away,
but you're pulling me in
to the darkness again.
Well maybe I just couldn't see,
but I tried my hardest to believe.
I can no longer trust my eyes,
you made me compromise.
And the carousel keeps spinning,
but it's only the beginning.
And I'm torn apart.
As it spins, and spins, and spins all day.
And I tried so hard to get away,
but you're pulling me into
the darkness again.
While I'm on the carousel,
my memories burn like hell.
And the visions blur,
while my emotions stir.
But I'm still stuck on this carousel,
still locked in this prison cell.
Here I am, locked away.
Fighting tears back every day.
