Carry

I waited for you to find me in the darkness

In this place untouched by man.

An evergreen forest.

Mountains that grasp the grey fog

That has forever settled.

The river runs down the mountains

Like veins

Rushing by.

I ran into the woods so green

Followed by none

But feeling the wind chasing after me.

The moon never abandons this place.

The stars kissing the dark sky.

I didn’t run away, not really.

I wanted to be found,

To see your face

In the place untouched by man

In an evergreen forest

Atop the mountains

Amidst the fog

In the veins of the mountains

Underneath the embrace of the moon and stars

I wanted you to run into the woods so evergreen

Followed by none

But feeling the wind carrying you to me.
