Carrying my Cross(The Cross of Lonliness)
The Cross of Lonliness
I’m walking around looking down wandering around, thinking what’s coming next
A push, shove, hit me to the ground, I know what’s coming next
A glare, a stare, tearing me down, I already know I’m a mess, and what’s happening next
The pain, the stains, cracks look at my armor, will anybody ever come to me
will anybody reach out and help me.
I’m running, running; thinking what’s gonna happen next
tired of sitting alone, God keeping me company
I’m almost out, almost out of this cage
this world dosen’t know me, trying inflict disaster upon me
I know, I know the beauty is real, but the pain is ever so real,
I’ll wrap this Cross around my chest, be the best I can be.
The next morphs around me, people rejecting me
Nothing stopping me; I’ll be the best of me
I know the Lord is with me.
