Carte Blanche
There’s no greater enemy
Then the ones we create
In the deepest valleys of our minds
They claw, we bleed
They scratch, we cry desperate
To make there voices heard
They rip, we absorb
Get these wars out of me spewing onto paper
They scrape, we go no ends to please
I find myself constantly going to war with these thoughts
I watch as this battle slowly destroys me
Leaving behind a defeated soul and dead flesh
As the only casualty
They live with you, a memory
The rath of dark graphite, the rath of dark oil
Forcing you, and your ideals against there’s
I’m stuck in this vicious cat and mouse game
Where there is no true winner, no true victory
They talked and I became their muse
I begged the heavens for a way out
They only left a rusted sword and a battered heart
They are watching, A king without his scepter
I remember when I could fortify the kingdom
When the paladins formed
Because when the a king walked through the land
Power was supposed to come with
Your weak they tell me
Your weak they tell me
There’s no greater loss than the one to the enemy within
Making loosing feel so good, making hell seem so right
A masterpiece painted on a napkin
It was all a vision out of my badly bandaged glasses
