Carved in Stone

It was carved in stone

that this crown would be mine

the crown that entraps my head

the crown that holds my freedom out of reach

It was carved in stone

that I would be kept here forever

kept in this bubble

kept in this mind numbing place

It was carved in stone

that my hands would build a castle

build these walls 10 feet high

build these walls 3 feet thick

It was carved in stone

that I would cry myself a river

cry until the tears dried up

cry until i've had enough

It was carved in stone

that I would strike that rock

strike the rock that held my fate

Strike the rock that held my life
