A Case of Loneliness
All I have is the silence
Beside me it rides
The only passenger
As the daylight slides.
I talk to the silence
The only one present
A lonely presence
But still a fading crescent.
I can feel it there
Belted in tight
In a way a comfort
For I can no longer fight.
The “friends”
They stand there
But really
They can’t really care.
They know me they do
But if I was lost
I would not be remembered
For I am not a worthy cost.
I am in the interactions
But I am not ranked as first
I retain last place
I will always be the worst.
