Caseofthe Mondays

(poems go here) I wake up, it’s morning, 6 AM to be exact, I just had the most epic weekend ever. But then it comes to me. It’s Monday. Freakin’ Monday. I crawl my lazy ass out of bed and to the kitchen where mom is cooking and dad is reading the paper. “Good morning” they say, “meh” I answer, Freakin’ Monday. I go to school and go to class, I, am the most enthusiastic of everyone. To the left Sam sleeps, drooling on the desk. Lucy behind me, eyes drooping, a mess. Ben in the back, I’d swear he was dead, If it wasn’t for the snore that came from his head. The teacher walks in and I woulda thought, That she hadn’t slept in maybe 3 days, But to my dismay, The day starts with math, algebra, the bain of my existence. The teacher’s words drive through my left ear, into my brain and out my right ear. Ninety minutes of total misery. At 10-O-clock sharp I go to the nurse, For my head hurt from all that conversing. She says what I have was quite serious and bitter, Swallows my life up and controls my mind. It turns me to zombie yet still quite alive, It’s a day my body can clean its main hardrive. Clean it from all work to be done, ideas to be thought and plans to be sunken. A day for me to just sit back and respect other weekdays. For what I got, was a case of the Mondays.
