Castaway
If, on this island, I am all alone,
Solitude is something that I do not condone.
Becuase within me is a vast, open sea,
Filled with thoughts, knowledge, ideas, and ambitious schemes.
I have a mind with potential, a mind with the power,
To wage war on the void that so craves to devour.
My mind knows what to do in the darkest of times,
Envisioning friends, rousing feelings, and rhymes:
Perfect lines of songs that I had made in my head,
Characters from the books I, so long ago, read.
With my imagination, my mind is now free,
And this deserted island, cannot contain me.
