Casting Call

All the world’s a stage

No hiding in the back

We’ll find a part for you

So you can play along

We’ll start with the easy ones

Of who you’d like to be

Good or bad?

Well or ill?

Would you like to be a leader?

Would you like to make a change?

What will you be good at?

What will you desire?

Choose your privilege

The things you’re handed

When you’re born

When your lines begin

But I’m sorry to inform you

That you don’t make the roles

We got bored- we’re sorry

We randomized a list

It’s not quite what you had planned

That’s okay?

You don’t mind?

It’s pretty close…

Well we’re sorry to inform you

You still don’t have a choice

Our offer was good manners

Just play along with it

But you don’t like your role?

Sorry, call the number for complaints

Everyone wants the lead

But we can’t all be protagonists

I know it might be upsetting

But practice, learn your lines

Make the best of it

It’ll be fine you’ll see

All the world’s a stage

You have to act along

The pieces fit together

At least pretend like you belong
