The cat on the doorstep
scurries Off
intO a bush
cLack!
the door opens
A man enters
‘Hello’ a woman cries wiTh
out a rEply
Turning the corner she finds
A man unfamiliar
‘Who are you?’
The woman echoes down the hall
The man like the cat on the doorstep
Scurries
But not to a bush but to the woman
A scream and a squelch
And the man walks out
Closes the door
And pets
The cat on the doorstep
