Catch

So I'm standing on a cliff And not any cliff I'm on Everest looking down into the Marianas Trench And it's a long way down I've been standing there for quite a while My toes hanging over the ledge Sliding over Clinging with every ounce of strength I had I teeter over the brink Shoved over by a wind Carrying the sights and sounds Of things I can't hold onto Things that brush past me That slip through my fingertips Because I can't capture them But in words In lines of lovely words I find some form of tangibility That maybe Just maybe You could relate to And that makes standing here worth it
