Catch Your Tail
Turn around and catch your tail
There's joy there, shining in the air
Where in your fur do you so ail?
Find it out and come to know it fair.
Once you do, do not cry out
There's no time to muck about.
So tell your tale and do it quick, before
Second tail does come around.
There is third tail with powers great
It feels like fire within the vein
But look there quick, and you would see
Your edges there, yet to be made.
Learn and grow, that you would know
When to find, when you've grown four,
The fire you've kindled deep within,
To harness your bravery and open the door.
Tail five ushers forth an age of crisis:
You'd fall short, in being sightless,
A greater knowing you'd go seek, but
Remember to mind, not to go meek.
Your nature would be cultivated at tail six
You'd have an idea of what's there to fix,
So mend yourself and balance your mix
Of knowledge and wisdom, to know which is which.
What a peculiar time, seven is
Don't doubt there and ponder eccentricities,
But keep on forth, in path of hardship
You'd have gone long, and would soon find relief.
At the eighth tail, you'd know your calling:
That to gain all nine was always fate.
But would you have always known this bawling
At the hurdles which keep you in fierce abate?
Turn around and catch your tail
In finding nine, would you derail
Yourself, after all of your work?
No, you'd have grown too much to fail.
One-tailed fox, you've yet to know,
How much you could outward grow;
Pursue yourself, your knowledge and passions
And always climb back up from below.
