Catching Hell

Am I living hell
Right here on earth
One man being supreme
The other having no worth
Disingenuous, the poverty and such
Sometimes I think
It’s all a bit too much

Am I living hell
Right here on earth
No woman, have I in my bed
Cuz all the bitching, moaning, and groaning
I truly dread

All the second guessing
In a love game gone bad
The unbridled fear of losing
What was not the best thing
I done ever had

Am I living hell
Right here on earth
The mean and hateful
The liars and crooks
I see no light at a tunnel's end
No images here on earth
Of how heaven looks

Am I living hell
Murder by colors
No justice served
We rage but all we get is
Kicked to the curb

Caught up, in a rogue system gone bad
The insanity enough to drive
A mere mortal mad
Excuses that us brown-eyed demons
Got just what we disserved
So what, we wore hoods, and we sagged
And for that we deserved
To be brought home in a body bag?

Am I living hell,
Right here on earth
Many a mentors
Gone astray
Preachers, priest, teachers and such
Living their lives in such disarray
Pushing the envelope
A bit way too much

Am I living hell
Here on earth
May God have mercy on my soul
For we've done vastly departed
from all the good earthly things
That I had always been told
