Catching Souls

No matter how far I would chase you

I would never catch your soul

Stuck so deep

I would have cried, realizing no hope

It's like catching fireflies

Especially on lightless nights

My strength so soft

Makes me stop to focus

He's still alive

In my heart, soul. and mind

That's all that matters

I feel and know

We live forever

In each other's souls

My poem was based on a true story of my friend's life
