Cathedral Hill

Skimming the edge-
Like a gull at sea-
That’s simply what I am doing-
I can’t yet dive in-
Not with love, career, ambition, friendship-
- Not Ever With Faith -
Especially not the latter-
I circle the cathedral like a benevolent buzzard-
Scared to step in-
They would see me out and put me out because I am out in the very first place.
No need to present myself with colors and shine-
They know, no use hiding.
Simply pray and write.
Blind analogies.
Still, I cannot tell you why a caged bird sings-
All I know is that in order to be free:
They Should Shout.
