Caught in a misconstrued perception (Intro to reality)

Thinkin only of what I was lackin

Not even thinkin of whats in the trunk

Yea I forgot what i had packin

I had it all

And saw none if it at all

Didn’t have the girl that was fuckin

Or the car that was high rollin

Didn’t have all A’s

Wasn’t the 5 star athlete

The didn’t have the Cosby family

Guess that a lil summary

Caught looking at the bigger picture

Jus not knowing how to get there

Had the basic building blocks

But caught moving so fast in today that I was slow for tomorrow

I was setting the tone

But fell and began to follow

Guess it shows that nothing’s set in stone

I still had both of my parents together despite the history

Had the girl that loved me for me and it wasn’t close to a mystery

Ain’t have all A’s

Kept a 3-0 but wasn’t ballin like curry

But shole tried to grow up in a hurry

Along the way I learned

Can’t rush the process that time will say you’ve earned

It’s a tale of a man that had it all, lost it, and got it back
