Caught in the Spider's Web

Our eyes locked instantly

Ready to be cocooned to you in silk

and to be consumed whole

Now, there I was

caught into your web of deceit

And for months I was stuck.

Stuck with your inconsistency.

Abandoned for days but

You’d come back to me

when I was needed

Each time,

holding me down with your chelicerae,

Injecting me with your poison

And slowly ending my existence

By consuming pieces of me I once loved
