Caution Caution

Caution Caution

Be aware be alert

Dirty words and looks that hurt

My mom and sister taught me well

But people react to me as if they fail

Open your eyes and take a good look

Disabilities go beyond the cover of a book

on the outside I look like a healthy teenage boy

but my actions and words that bring me joy

make you look annoyed and distraught

because the way the Lord made me is different from what you were taught

So caution caution

Be aware be alert

The next time you see me open your mind and also your heart

I know I am different

That's what sets me apart

Please try to understand and try not to hurt

Caution Caution

Be aware be alert

I am a creative person with a drive. I am different, I am quirky, I embrace the life I have.
