Cautionary Love Tale

Loving you hurts

hurts to my core

But it's the kind

that keeps me coming bakc for more

It's the kind thats all consuming

through my body & mind

it was love that was right on time

I pushed you away

told you I didn't love you

But it didn't work

You know my hearts truth

Not just my heart

but my mind, body & soul

all of these aspects of me you know

And I know you too

down to the "T"

we fit together like perfect harmony

But sadly our story is short

Because I have to go

Will we come back together?

Only God knows

I will hold to the memories

of our morning love

& late night laughter

& the comfort & safety

I felt in your arms after

You mean more to me

then I let you see

& for that I am sorry

I close myself off & I lock down my feelings

because I will be heartbroken

and I never recieve my healing

Really

it's a cautionary tale

If I get love

It's bound to fail

Of course that's what I feel

But you feel different

Being with you has been a highlight in my life

but a life lesson

Your heart is so full of hope & optimism

It's infectious to my spirit

it's like you saw my darkness & added light to it

I was living in a woorld

of darkness and pain

Walking around like I have my own personal

Grey cloud and rain

You don't take over

You add to me

You will alwasy be a string in my heart

& more than a memory

It's so sad we have to part

It's like 2000 pounds are weighing on my heart

I told you before it's a cautionary tale

Boyfriends after lovers

it ends in a romantic hell
