Cecil Manor

Cecil, the name resonates a tone of reminiscence,

however, barren is my recollection of your existence.

Your windows left agape,

to me your essence sought escape.

My arrival upon his departure planted me adjacent to your door,

Awaiting egress, awaiting splendor.

With a glance, I recalled the divine residence,

I recall every action premature to its occurrence.

The twist of the knob, the creaks of the floor, the sturdy structure.

Yes, it is here that I shall acquire tenure.

Upon invitation, I disguised my familiar comfort with a guise

coerced a fraudulent countenance to deceive the hostess’ eyes.

This will be my residence and my retire,

My occupancy is our soon to be shared desire.

My dear companion, Cecil, do you not recall me?

Am I absent from the residence of your memory?

Search not your mind for my precedence.

Your heart has been the refuge of my residence.
