The Ceiling

. Have you ever noticed that the ceiling is a very comforting thing to stare at?

I stare at it every night, with tears streaming down my face.

Thoughts running through my mind like there's no tomorrow.

You may ask why I cry every night, or why I stare at the ceiling.

Well, to answer your first question.. I'm hurting.

And its not physically, but its more emotionally.

I try so hard to be the perfect daughter, student, or just anything.

And what I do is never good enough....

I will NEVER be good enough.

And sometimes I feel like this world will never be a good place for me.

I don't belong here...

At least that's what I think.

And to answer your second question... It's very comforting.

Its inspiring...

The ceiling and the walls of a house are what holds it together.

Even on its worse days it still keeps itself together.

It continues to be strong.

I wanna be like that ceiling...

But until then I'll put my headphones in..

Tune the world out..

And stare at The Ceiling..
