Ceiling Fans

Spinning

everything was spinning

and yet every single thing was still

when silence becomes peace and peace becomes thought

repeated

for months and months

and thoughts which were left unsaid for so very long

in the best interest of each other

were finally disclosed for the greater good of both

And in the sweet aroma of a beautiful perfume that may not have even been there

and the specks of infinite nail polish scraped like stars upon a spinning shadow ceiling

in a quiet room

with a record playing softly til its end

and the truth now told

settles like gold in the bottom of a clearwater wishing well

and five kisses in the air which was cool

no matter where they were

and in an embrace which was the only thing thought about for the entire duration of the silence

and calm

calm settles

in the happiness which is true

and has not been

for far too long

mutual feelings

and a promise in a spot of light

surrounded by an infinite expanse of dark

of  friendship

above all

and what could possibly be argued

for in the beginning and end

of all things truly beautiful

stands a friend

I am a poet, musician, and strong proponent of LGBTQ rights, gender equality, and being your true self no matter what ANYONE says. Do what you please, comment anything that comes to your mind, make you happy first. Then your dog/cat. That's pretty much it. Hail Santa. THE END.
