Celebrating the Winter Green Grass

Celebrating the Winter Green Grass

Because of the frequent rain,

Leafless trees cover our meadows,

And even though it is December,

The meadows are covered

With carpets of summertime greenery.

And this shouldn’t be,

They should be covered with snow.

But alas, Green Grass, this I want you to know,

This summertime weather will not last,

And when the normal winter weather returns,

The usual snow covered meadows with come to past,

And this unusual but beautiful landscape

Will, alas, be but a pleasant memory.
