Celebratory
Too many days have I dreamed for a moment like this to arrive, so now I wonder if this is the time I should act and arise?
How long must it take for someone to know that you are not yourself?
After being part of a different world, does it shape you into someone else?
I miss the days of once being myself, now gratefully praising things I once put up and away on a shelf Oh this is not a plea for help, but to gain the understanding of how long it takes for one to start to blame thyself of course when it shouldn't have been anyone else
I have finally seen my reflection in a mirror stained and shattered, so here I am trying to take an opposite direction of what I use to think all mattered.
These months have been nothing but river, rock, and stone; testing the strength of my feet when all it took was the strength of my back bone.
And boy, do I miss the faces of home
An unconditional love that I can sense and feel like it is implanted in a memory foam.
I am upset there has been a hiatus of laughter, but it is now alight and will go on now and soon thereafter.
If only there were a button to rewind the shifted hands of time, but i believe that button would be busted if I used it on my own dime
For there is nothing more wrenching than to face those ugly cycles of past hatred and lies
And to look directly in the face of whom you know you've let down secretly inside
I wish this all to subside
Although I don’t have it in my strength to cry, I am just going to joyfully move on and rekindled all these broken ties
