Cemented Face

Within the cement walls of fuel

Looking at pools within her eyes

A free flowing emotion that

Does not hide. Yet I cannot cry

nor smile, nor grimace. I'm hardened

Refusing to let fuel melt me.

Boiling or freezing yearns behind

this cemented face, mask of mine

Facing souls and walls with my back

Concealing sense my shell intact.

So I'll take my hammer and hit

til there is nothing left of it.

IZZYbelbel

I write poems and lyrics when my emotions grow too high for me to bottle up. As an introvert I struggle to share with people and find the page more useful. I'm a college student studying film. I love animals and playing rugby!
