The Center

Calmly I sit while the storm around me thrashes

Trees fly, uprooted from the Earths soil

Rain whips the face of everything it touches leaving a sopping trail behind

The wind pulling on my hiar and clothes like a poor man fighing for life

Harder and faster the storm continues barreling down on everything in its' wake

It won't let go

It's still holding on, daring me to backdown first

But I just sit until at last it fades out.
