Cerastium
I grew beside dear Cerastium
Oh how her leaves looked like snow in the summer,
How I longed to grow big and beautiful like her.
But as my blue petals grew along with my admiration, so did something in Cerastium.
Her vines creeped closer and closer to me before covering me whole
I cry out as I'm overtaken by her vines,
I cry to the others in the garden
But the Dianthus simply replied
"Oh, Bluet, hush now, child. Do not cry, look at her flowers!"
"But, miss Dianthus, It hurts and i cant see the sun!"
"But of course child, Cerastium needs her sun, she's so beautiful, and its not like your blooms are as pretty as hers."
Her flowers are beautiful,
white, small, so delicate
but why does she snuff me out?
Is is because I'm truly worthless? Or because I'm small so its easy?
The spring bloomed into summer but my body has ceased to exist, my pale blue petals rotting in the rock next to Cerastium. As her white flowers overtake the rock ad feed from my corpse and organic matter
Oh Cerastium, Cerastium.
Was it because my petals were a blue you could not wish to have? Was i so brilliant that you could not bear to see me grow.
Oh Cerastium, Cerastium.
How I wished to grow beside you, to thrive in this garden.
But it doesn't matter how brilliant one may be if the soil is tainted by jealousy.
Oh Cerastium,Cerastium
Why did you hurt me so?
