A Certain Someone
A certain someone and I are intertwined-
our minds just coincide-
more than the average kind.
There are sparks,
like lightning in the sky,
that remind us of each other
whenever they flash by.
At birth we were assigned
to survive side by side.
This situation has defined
us, as have our birthmarks,
which can identify
each other
to passerbys.
Our relationship was predefined
and cannot be modified.
We are rare to mankind,
and often inspire curious remarks.
No we cannot deny
that we were destined to live together.
We will never, could never, truly mean goodbye.
My twin and I are combined-
we are together in this joyride.
Brighter than that Star in the sky has our bond shined.
Our hallmarks
are as sharp and defined as an eagle’s eye.
My love for my brother
will never, could never, die.
