Certainty - Nora

In absolute confidence and endless fear, there is always a certainty. Were your eyes to combust, I would be beside you, mimicking your boundless infatuation. Were your arms to take hold of me and never let go, you'd find me as a mirror image of you simply removing the doors to my heart so that you would never see them close. Were your hands to grow a mind of their own and deign to snatch a piece of heaven, they would find it not hidden or stored away behind lock and key, but left out just for them, waiting, expecting. Muster you courage, face your fears, make the jump, the leap of faith, that final bound towards me. Your words are poetry incarnate, seemingly brought forth from a veritable treasure trove of literary masterpieces, a priceless gift for me. The fear that accompanies it is a simple matter, my hands ready to clear it away with gentle care. Fear itself is the moment before that crest of the hill, the volta, the dark before the dawn, and the anticipatory glances and burgeoning giddiness. Fragile words placed with care like growing trees are strong now, roots stretched down into the ground, with no chance of being uprooted. Their arms shade a grove, shielding it from any influence. Left alone, crowded with poetry and constellations of imagery, we can see clearly like never before, and the choice is undeniable. Implacable like a fog in the jungle impassable like barriers of the mind and imperceptible like the slightest shift in the wind, This literary romance has become essential and unbelievably breathtaking. Like a vacuum, your words take the very air from my lungs, the very thought from my head, the very words out of my mouth.
