Chains

The room is pitch black

Nothing can be seen

Nothing can be heard

Nothing but the rattling of chains

Each link another bad memory

Another person denying me

Don’t you remember?

Let me remind you

Remember that time

When you forgot me

Remember that time

When my feeling didn’t matter

Won’t you help me?

Won’t you release me?

From the chains that bind

I cannot do it alone

Brighten the room

Give me the warmth from your heart

Which has the power

to break these chains

These chains are so heavy

So cold

They not only restrict my body

But my heart and soul
