The Chains Inside of Me
Darkness
Can't see forward, only what was left
Hidden
Buried beneath the surface
Numbness
Heart ripped out, thrown into darkness
Blank
No emotion except when my eyes rain
Empty
Nothing left inside of me
Light
Piercing through the fight
Change
Realizing I am not to blame
Endurance
Pressing forward with the assurance
That I will conquer
I will be freed
From the chains inside of me
I will succeed
