Champions
Ask me to glow up
Trying to grow from last week
Just trying to be myself Take the chains up off me
I was just tryna live a life
tryna breathe a fight
I’d like to say I’m out of it but come on let’s see
I might’ve held myself back with the opinions I’d keep
Holdin’ my own
Holdin’ on to the words
Like they set me free
You know me
Tryna stay right and unique
Tryin' to fake like a champion and fight what I see
Maaaaan
holdin’ my fists up
holdin’ the growth back
Tryin’ to put value on opinions like my facts
Now I found the principle foundation found my way in racin’
Found my real face, with my new phase on the growth track
Congratulations on graduation you champion
You taking life by the tuffs taking the real thing
And now I’m risin, all aligned in
Out old phases, in new races I’m all in
Congratulations to me pullin’ the growth alive, no lie, might’ve felt their words playing the choke card
But I flipped up my own guard
Opinions won’t hold me
You asked how I grew, I say I grew in ME real hard
