A Chance

My understanding is limited
Thoughtful moments few,
Yet enough for strife to take
Careful thoughts from you.
My words I steal from others
My plans to ignore amends,
Saying sorry is but a loss
I've failed to comprehend.
An angels choir singing down
Of dawns that have yet to come,
I still keep what I've taken close
My courage dwindling to none.
One will call me "dear"
In the room of my creation,
whispering the treasure I'll never know
For I have sold my inspiration
To those who seek to harm me
To those who care naught but for them,
But if the goods were stolen
Just as false are ideas from my pen.
Disorder checking me in tow
With the ones who faltered just like me,
Admitting all that heals my mind
Contained in a morning cup of tea.
Converging my sight is flawed
My understanding shut,
What I'd stolen was incomplete,
And I'd paid the price I know,
Destroying with all my might
The paradise gone, where would I sleep?
My confidence slipped down too low.
A fallen story forgotten now
Disgusted with my crime,
Arise now those in lacking of
A chance to make you mine;
A chance is all I ask for
A chance in which you must believe,
That I will surely do this
That I really can succeed.
