A Chance

Her first words.
Oh give me a chance, to prove to you I'm the one who can.

I look into her eyes
as stares into the skies, endless
Sees she does not, the many possibilities
And she, this girl, so new to this earth, this corrupted way of life,  may never, see,
is the world really that clever

I want to tell her right away,
before the world, steals her, pure, and it becomes far to late

That baby it's okay to cry,
I want to tell her I know we all do, we all hurt
but you have to try, okay?
You can not and I will not let you become the dirt,
in which your tears only moisten, not wash away, not cleanse but become the mud, that people, this world will stomp on and smear you thin, on the sidewalks. As they go about their 9-5 day. and then is when you'll wish you could wash away , with not your tears but rain. And by then baby, it'll be far too late.

I want to tell her,
this beautiful flower, growing still,
by every hour that no, there's nothing wrong! No, you don't need to wear that thong! For who, for him? Darling you might as well be a lesbian! He's nothing. Trust me, I know he gets your heart, pumping, right?
Oh so fragile, you are, still.
I'm sorry darling but I will not let you lose sight!
Of the will, the way, for it is right inside!

I want to tell her, that she is not clone
So stop searching for a home, here
Baby I know, you're only looking for a acceptance, right?
Well why, don't you believe me when I tell you it's inside.
But yes, I'll follow you, on this never ceasing, meandering, pitiless, aspiring to be nothing, conformity of the world you ACT like you want become.
I'll only do it in the hope that ill be able to catch you slip
I won't let you flip, and watch you as you crash land into my bare hands.

I want to tell her, grown, now a woman, that's its not too late.
Even though you you look down and there's nothing on you plate.
Because you and I both know darn well, that you could be just swell.
But tell me why you chose, to instead of open close, your mouth.
To what you knew was right and just.
I know it wasn't lust that caused you not to speak about what was true, was it because ya THOUGHT there was no good inside of you?
Now listen to me baby, listen good.
You ain't cheap, get your butt up and get something to eat.
Christ.
Because I'll tell ya,  if you continue on this path of starvation and temptation, it'll be too late for even me to save you, from yourself.

I want to tell her now, still the same, as she's always been that she is just that, the same.
You are the girl that looks into the skies, endless.
The one who then did not then, but now does see the many possibilities.
The one who now, should know that the only one she needs to give a chance is, well, just give the mirror a glance, yes, that's you.
Now don't close your ears listen to the last I have to say, you can, be whatever you want to see, just look within yourself, not the world because the only home you'll every truly know, is within your own chromosomes.
