A chance

You wake up.

the sky is dark, the sky is light, the sky is day, the sky is night.

you breathe, you laugh, you love, you cry

you share emotions, dreams, thoughts, in betweens.

Some days require more strength to get by.

Some days you question the hows and the whys:

Why this? Why that? Why me? Why try?

And though things may get rough,

and the light hard to find,

you've a friend in yourself, quite the blessing in disguise.

People come and go, granting knowldege, passing time.

Let the light that they leave you guide the path that you choose,

no matter your odds, your doubts or concerns, every day granted is a chance to be awesome.
