Chance

You are so lucky to be here

Living on this Earth,

For all the odds indicate

That you would never have lived here

On this tiny speck

In the middle of nowhere

In the cold depths of space.

You and everyone around you

Have beaten these odds.

We all live here on this rock,

And should be amazed,

Since so much of space

Is dead and silent.

Cherish the fact

That you can live and love,

And experience all that is on offer,

For the chances were,

That none of this would be here,

Were one thing to be out of place.
