The Change

(poems go here) We've changed. Become so caught up in ourselves we've forgot our values and standards Disfunctionalized our lives so that we've let our emotions show through anger Made a vow to take and L(el) so that I's, Y's(why's), and U's(you) don't matter Ignorance is flattered While intelligence is a transparent glass society shattered Letting insults rain down and your mind was the window in which you watched it drop and your ears heard the patter we've forgot that we look daily at the man in the mirror yet watch movies where molesters jacksons and the genre labels it as a thriller im baffled that we now find pleasure in reading about abductions that lead to murders and the convict is the baby sitter yet it gets sicker moms invest in strange sex and they fall for offsprings and don't consider it incest obsessed by the incense using no sense causing one to be past tense yet the act is considered past tense? but will be remembered forever by the participants as madness resorted to finding brotherhood in another hood known as fraternities where you give up permanent love for temporary joy and end up losing your soul to the darkness for eternity completely overtaken by swag and outward demeanor we'd compromise our standards for a lack of maturity assuredly compromising judgement not caring about what i see we now live in a world where 11 year olds kill just to get high see(hi-c) settling for mediocrity and middle class that kids get rewarded for making a high d we've lost our brains so now you can't mind me back in the day couples on tv didn't use to sleep in the same bed now what we see is couples offsprings enjoying sex and lifes only concern is getting bread yet, we do nothing, already been mislead that we don't look for justice when, two bi-racial individuals go out, one returns and shortly after the other is found dead we've become mealymouthed, too afraid and unwilling to say directly what we know is right, shameful as a people we've been degraded by each other while races and its painful no matter how you sugarcoat it, it's the same disgrace at every angle we're shackled by defeat(the feet) but it's time we get unchained, django no matter how much we try to convince ourselves everything is the same in this game that we've learned to sustain our aim shouldv'e been to loosen our chains but we stayed bounded and turned for the worst, embracing the drastic change the world is choking us the government is joking us makes me angry to the point where im forced to bust and i wonder daily, is there any hope for us? we're a peculiar race and others shouldn't come close to us but we've let them, and given into being the footstool is it still possible for us to pull through? it all depends on what moves you to do what you do cause satan will play the fool with your life, just for believing your'e foolproof we came from the dirt so we're no greater than worms yet you usher in sin and forget to make a confession, but soon, God's just gunna let it burn sanity is your destiny, but the future should be your concern but we've forgotten how to rationalize, no wonder children don't practice what they've learned we've changed family this is a travesty or worse a tragedy and i say this with accuracy it's time ti change or die unnaturally because at the end of time there's gunna be multiple casualties -James "WintaFresh" Ryan
