change

you ask what i would change about the world

that’s such a loaded question you see,

just pick one of the many issues seen on tv

discrimination, violence, lies

we have one job and we’re failing guys

God told us to love and it seems to me

that mentality has been lost you see

He didn’t say love those who make it easy,

He said love everyone and follow me

we manipulate His words

and fail to change our ways

but if we really wish for the peace we desire,

then we must do what He said and lift our hearts higher

love those who are weary, struggling, and gone

don’t forget about those who have done you wrong

love them as well and try to move on

that’s the biggest issue to me

we’ve forgotten the reasoning behind everything

we’ve failed to love, and i fail daily too

to remember would be my request for you

the world would be such a better place

if hate was ended by love and grace
