Change

I was afraid to be who I truly was I remember when my innocence was taken from me I heard "friends" whispering about me being gay I saw my mother and father argue of divorce I worried that my family would fall apart I thought I would be a nobody- a failure But I want to change I am a intelligent, strong, worthy individual I think the world is judgmental, critical I need to make money to support my mother and family I try not to use the word "try", it leaves to much room for failure I feel that I am the only one who loves me for me I forgive my cousin for raping me Now I can change I will ignore ignorance and be who I was meant to be I choose wont listen to negativity I dream that the world will finally be free of homophobia and racism I hope that one day I can legally marry my girlfriend I predict that I will be successful I know that I will conquer that world

I know that this might not be much, but you have my support. I know that I cannot do a lot for you, but I hope that you know that lots of people out there support you and will help you in any way they can.
