Change

Our lives are diseased

Not by sickness, but by ideas and creeds

The politicians do not listen to our pleas

They drown us out

Make us want to shout

About how the country we know and love

Needs a good hard shove

I want to change this

Rearrange this

Make it so that my children will be proud to call themselves Americans

A new direction is needed

And all I hope is that the people's message is heeded

This country must move forward

Not back towards the abyss

And I hope in twenty years this will all be a joke

But until then this country must not choke

We must wake up and change our ways

We must look towards the future, in the end it pays
